I just sent out two crossposts, one with followups set to

sci.environment , on the Gaia scientific theory which
those of you into various newage, various neopagan, Greek
pagan or your own individual Gaia religious theories may be
interested in though there may not be any followups, or may not
be any for a couple of days.
But the area of biology and applied mathematics known
as catastrophe theory describes both catastrophes and
anticatastrophes and I hope for a positive human species
butterfly unfolding rather than an extinction soon.
