Strange juices in dogs' stomach, I mean.
Dog Rusty demolishes the hardest and biggest bones. He gets one twice
per week. He has a vague idea when those lucky days are due - he does
happy dances through the kitchen then. He takes his bone to the bone
place outside, a spot he always chooses to work on specials. He gnaws,
he strains, every muscle bulging. He drops the bone and they eye each
other. Then an attack on a new front. Crunchy noises, grunts and
growls. You have to be someone - puppies couldn't do it. Once the bone
is done with, Rusty comes in and slumps down, totally exhausted. It
was hard work.
Next morning that bone comes out as a solid paste, no bits or pieces
in it.
Yet... he always gets part of what I eat, and I eat often lentils,
rice, sweet corn. All of these soft little things come out the other
end whole, unscathed, ignored by digestive juices.
What's going on?
Greetings to you all
Klaus and Rusty
