Yates Thagard Baptist Church

After a two-week Spring break, we began again at Yates-Thagard
Baptist Church in Carthage, NC. The pastoral staff of Yates-Thagard,
which consists of Steve Johnson as Senior Pastor, Sammy Frye as Youth
and Outreach pastor, and Mark Williamson as Music and Assistant pastor
all worked so hard for this week of meetings. They were such a
blessing to our team during the week, and we were so grateful to be
able to work with them. Mike Egerdahl and Sammy Frye headed up the
teen outreach and spent many hours during the week contacting teens
and helping the teens get involved. We had a wonderful Cola War with
over 100 in attendance, and 8 received Christ as Savior. The church
also had a great turnout during the week with 473 in attendance on
Friday night for the Irish Sacred Concert. Throughout the week, over
18 adults and children accepted Christ as their Savior. This church
prayed and worked hard, and we are blessed to have been a part of
their ministry.
During our two weeks off, my wife and I were able to co-host a
special trip to Turkey and Greece with Dr. Tom Farrell and his wife,
Regina. We surveyed the churches of Revelation and Greece and other
sights that the Apostle Paul traveled to during his missionary
journeys. It was truly an inspiring trip to walk with Paul.
