How things change.....

It was a pretty comprehensive FAQ at the time,  quite a labor of love for
the
original developers who collaborated  with posters to build the archive of
useful information.   My copy is dated about 1997.   My memory is a little
vague,  but it was reposited on an .edu or similar site.

Looking at the NEW copy,   the advertising information of the current
'keeper'  listed any place he could place it in the do***ent detracts from
the original intent of the FAQ  does it not ??    And placing pointers
directly
to his advertising web home page  seems to me, to be a little out of line
the the supposedly non-commercialization policy of this  newsgroup.   


Riddle me this.....

How does one flame a person for spamming the group,  when the location of
the
groups  FAQ's  are a pointer to a commercial web site,  with commercial
advertising
on every page of the FAQ.     

Ahhh.....   but the original FAQ was a phenomenal do***ent at the time...
lots
of good relevant information there.
