This isn't one of those things where we can agree to disagree. Magic
is a guild. That's what it is. We teach each other the trade.
Whether you call your teacher a mentor or not is irrelevant, Al.
They are your mentors even if they don't know they are. Whether you
seek them or stumble on them, they are mentors. Else, you'd not
learn magic. That's what a guild is about.
