Tony,
I stayed out of this discussion to now because the advice you got
was good, albeit less than respectful. You really won't be able to
build a blue room for that kind of money. Besides that, a blue room
and the similar green room are for fooling a television cameras.
You'd be better off looking into Black Art deceptions. There are
some really good books on Black Art and its application for live
stage and theater. I'm sending this to your AOL account, too but I
don't expect it will get through with all the URLs here.
Here's one for $10.00.

or http://tinyurl.com/5qs69x
And this one for about $13.00
http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=1117522256&searchurl=bi%3D0%26bsi%3D150%26bx%3Doff%26ds%3D30%26kn%3Dmagic%26sortby%3D2%26tn%3Dblack%2Bart%26x%3D0%26y%3D0
or http://tinyurl.com/5875zv
This one is a bit more pricey at $135.00 but it is a gem and one of
the best on the subject. Truly.

There are also some sections of the Tarbell Course in Magic which
deal with Black Art. You can get a copy over the web here for a mere
$39.00: http://www.lybrary.com
Specifically, here:

Tell Chris I sent you. He likes it when I do that. That CD has over
1300 pages of magic in it. An absolute bargain. You'll never have to
ask for help again here. But, if you do, there are still a few of us
around who will help you without going into detail here.
I also think that Gary Darwin has a couple of books on it and Omar
Pasha, as well. Ali Bongo did a booklet on the subject and good old
Charlie Miller did one on Black Art Well tables.
