Ok, I'm living in germany - now, after the myths and misconceptions about
Kundalini I add my 2 cents to the myths and misconceptions about
Germany...
;-)

> Yes and Germany is a much older country than the US.

In fact the US democracy is older then the german. We still had an emperor
when you allready had an democratic constitution.
And cultural, ok. If you don't see the native american inhabitant - the
indians - as US, we have an older culture.

rofl :-)
There is so much wrong in this country at the moment, it can't called well
balanced...
Did you know that 80% of the worldwide writings about tax regulations and
acts are about the german tax-law? Just to name one problem...
We have a tax law with 6000 acts and 60.000 regulations / decrees.
No average citizen is able to understand this law anymore.
Even professionals in the department of inland revenue had to admit in a
TV-re****t that they do not know all of these acts, decrees.

> and the US as an immature teenage bully.

Your present gouvernment - yes.

And what forced your people to elect an austrian bodybuilder as a
gouvernor??

Neil Postman is waving from heaven....

But "amusing us to death" is not only an US phenomenom - you are just more
radical or let's say "professional" in it.

Well, ok - there cannot be a bigger mistake than starting 2 world wars
with
100 million dead and nearly wiping out a whole religion - right? Let's
hope
that the US never volunteer to pass us by in this! We "want"/have to be
the
worldchampion in this category forever.

Ok, but compared to other european countrys our food quality is poor.
Germans detected in the past years their affinity to save money.
And they save a lot of money through buying cheap food.
In no other european country the food prices are that low.
Spanish Tomato Farmers, for example, know that.
The good quality products they send to England.
The red ones (only good looking) to germany.

> Most Germans have access to excellent quick & clean mass
> trans****tation - having an insured automobile is optional for them -

Yep. That is true.
But we still have 50 million cars in a country of 80 million people.
And here people are also saving money.
In the past years the germans didn't buyed as much new cars as they
should.
So we have a lot of old, dirty cars on the streets - diesel cars often
because diesel gas is cheaper (about 80cents/liter instead 1.10euro/liter
for gas)
The avarage age of cars in germany now is 12 years.

I cannot judge that.
But i know that the family system is breaking apart.
The majority of the households in the big cities are allready
single-households.
Old people mostly are not kept in the families anymore - most of them have
to go to an old peoples home if they are not anymore able to care for
themselfes. That is expensive and because the society is becoming older
and
older - and the old ones also do live longer - a large cost for the social
system.

The health care system is reduced bit by bit now because germany becomes
older and older and the old system is only working well if there are
enough
healthy young people that work enough to pay for the others. The system is
nearly to collaps and must be radical changed.
Health Care, unemployment and pension system are the largest post in the
countrys finance. In the US it is the military, right? ;-)

Ok, i agree in this case. Everybody who has no own income has the right to
be sup****ted by the state. You'll get your flat payed including heating,
electricity and water. You'll get a little money for clothes and if you
have
to move out of your flat a professional company is paid to do the job for
you. Also furniture like a bed, a refridgerator or so you need is paid if
you have no. And you have 250Euro/month for living. That is not much...
but
better than nothing. And we have no Slums as I have seen them in
Philadelphia.

People who are unemployed for a certain time do get 60 - 70 % of their
latest income for 12 months.

But we have an unemployment rate of over 10% now...

> If more American's could visit Germany

Hey, come over here - it's a beautiful country! :-)
And not only the south (bavaria) but the costline has it's beautiful spots
too!

Don't be affraid: you are save here.
At least in the cities. Even the Synagogues are 24hours/day police
protected.
As a black-skined person on the countryside in east germany - that could
become an adventure to you if you meet some of the local youth groups with
bold heads, pilot jackets and military boots...

Berlin is the largest turkish city outside of turkey - and turkey is an US
allied :-)
And german intelligence is not collecting your personal data when you
travel
to germany... (only if your last name is Bush, Rice or Cheyney)

;-)

Sounds like we are the european Jamaika :-)
Yeah man - relax...
I hope / I wish for us what you say is true!
Relaxed germans...
I never before heard that about us :-)

Is our chancelor giving you this image/impression?

> The German ecomonic/political/social systems are excellent role models

Too much undeserved compliments for this country :-)

And the social system will change radical in the next years.
Let's see what it will be and then we can tell if it still is an
rolemodel.
