The most powerful country in the world - the only super power invades
a heavily sanctioned/crippled little country with a rag tag army and
justifies that invasion on false information. We have killed around
20,000 of their women and children, and wrecked what was left of their
nation and we refuse to apologize or leave. We arrogantly stay there
and get mad because they won't kiss our butts. It's an idiotic recipe
for disaster.
Anyone who doesn't have a problem with that picture is blind.
Kerry can and will do much better than the insane asylum bush regime.
Please help get bush out of the white house - for the sake of mankind.

the truth about whats going on in the world:
1. INDEPENDENT MEDIA IN A TIME OF WAR:
Part scathing critique, part call to action, "Independent Media In A
Time Of War" is a hard-hitting new do***entary by the Hudson Mohawk
Independent Media Center (www.hm.indymedia.org). This film is composed
of a speech given by Amy Goodman, host of Democracy Now! illustrated
by clips of mainstream media juxtaposed with rare footage from
independent re****ters in Iraq. The do***entary argues that dialogue is
vital to a healthy democracy. "Independent media has a crucial
responsibility to go to where the silence is," says Amy Goodman, "to
represent the diverse voices of people engaged in dissent." She makes
a compelling argument that the commercial news media have failed to
represent the "true face of war."

2. "Preventive Warriors."
The film examines a bold new foreign policy paper introduced by the
White House in September 2002 entitled: "The National Security
Strategy of the United States."
The do***ent outlines a radical new doctrine in American foreign
policy: one of so-called "pre-emptive warfare." The Bush
administration used this policy as a justification for the invasion of
Iraq.
The film features many of the leading thinkers and intellectuals of
our time including Noam Chomsky, Chalmers Johnson, Tariq Ali and more
(including Phil Donahue).

From Vietnam to Iraq: American War Resisters Seek Refuge in Canada
In an unprecedented simulcast with Canadian Broadcasting's morning
show, "The Current," Democracy Now! broadcasts live from Toronto,
Canada. Decades after Vietnam War resisters fled to Canada to avoid
the draft, American soldiers who are resisting the war in Iraq are now
looking north of the border for a safe place to call home. We speak
with two Iraq war resisters, Jeremy Hinzman and Brandon Hughey who are
seeking refugee status in Canada as conscientious objectors. And we
speak with their lawyer, Jeffry House, who fled to Canada during the
Vietnam war to resist the draft. [includes rush transcript]
