Am I the only one who considers television to be a form of brainwa****ng
mindcontrol? In almost every American home the teevee entertainment
center forms the focal point of the main room, as if it were a shrine
to a Hindu god, complete with offerings of video games and **** DVDs.
Those iThing music gadgets are bad enough distractions, but now I see
idiots walking down the street all zoned out in their retarded video
game or movie. I wish more of them would get hit by cars, hopefully
by drivers who are also playing video games while driving.
My housemates watch teevee a lot and as I listen to popular network
comedy and drama shows the dialog seems so retarded, then there is
the commercial break which is even more retarded at twice the decibal
level. It is so annoying and I try to keep the goddamn machine off
whenever possible. And I've noticed that there is some instinct that
forces people to glance at video monitors even if they don't want to,
making it hard to ignore such advertising in retail stores.
Some of the stupidest shows include any comedy with a canned laugh
track (to brainwash the viewer into thinking the jokes are funny),
any crime drama (especially ones with psychics), and talk shows,
especially Oprah and Dr. Phil (Jerry Springer is creative and works
very hard to appear so stupid, while stupidity comes naturally to
Oprah). Science and nature do***entaries are okay in small amounts,
but sometimes they can be stupid such as the HD program at 4am where
viewers can watch a high-definition sunrise instead of looking out
the window to see a real one.
