By that, I'm assuming you mean subliminal messages. They don't need those
to 
brainwash people. One of the best tools they use is hype Of course if the 
governments outlawed any form of deception in advertising and that small 
print should be large bold print then that would make an amusing change.
Wouldn't it be interesting if polititians weren't allowed to lie?

They do that because if they didn't they would be no use to anyone; but 
you're right. It is everywhere. Hell even at job interviews it's the norm 
for the intervieweee to manipulate the interviewers into giving him a job.

an honest interviewee seldom gets work.
