CS-0188 - All things in life are materials for wisdom to work with.
The same is with all things in life. Every moment in our lives is an
op****tunity which brings a benefit and blessing. And the one who knows
how to be benefited by it, and how to be blessed by it, receives the
benefit and the blessing. Everyone seems living and awake, but few
souls really are living and awake. There are op****tunities of benefit
and blessing on every plane of one's life--on the physical plane, on
the mental plane, on the spiritual plane--and every op****tunity is
invaluable. But often one realizes the truth when it is too late.
There is no greater and better op****tunity than the moment that can
give a spiritual illumination, a moment when one can receive the
blessing of God. It is a priceless moment. Who knows it and
understands it and tries to be benefited by it is blessed.
The Sufi´s Conception of God - The Ten Virgins
CS-0189 - Overlook the greatest fault of another, but do not partake
of it in the smallest degree.
Man is born with such a critical tendency and has so much developed
this tendency that he easily seeks what is bad in everything. The Sufi
takes the contrary way; he seeks for what is good in everyone and
everything. The way of morality is to think that if someone has done
us some good it is very great, and if we have done good to someone to
think that it is very little and that we might have done more. If a
person has done something bad to us we should forget it as soon as
possible, and if we have done something bad we should think that a
great fault. If we see something that seems bad to us we should
overlook it, disregard it, forgive it. This is the only way of
happiness and peace.
