The versions I've heard of always has an older brother. In one he's
lured to some location and killed; in another he's killed and
dismembered. The dismembering is a ploy to slow down Medea's father
and the pursuers, because they'd have to give her brother a proper
funeral. I've never heard of the baby brother though...
