Tolkien's mythology in The Silmarillion is beautiful and profound. It also
has a marvelous theodicy revealing the roots of evil and the need for
salvation from sin. Consequently, it is filled with heart-wrenching,
excruciatingly poignant stories that speak to the heart, mind and soul of
discerning, careful readers.
