the conflict seems to revolve about a metaphysical
misunderstanding. absent being able to detect them,
as with a video camera or sensitive equipment built
to render them apparent to those observing the record,
the question of location and their perception looms.
> How could you find out who's right?
the only way to do that is to set a time limit,
record the event, and stipulate in as detailed a
manner as possible what should be observed or
recorded that will demonstrate either position,
then engage the attempted discovery. the problem
with all "can/can't" hypotheses is that they do
not contain within them a tem****al limitation,
and thus, it may be more a matter of who is doing
a thing, how long they try, and what the strict
conditions for attempting it include, which
sets the likelihood that it can be achieved.
in such a case 'finding out who is right'
may well become an endless task, serving
the one who is not right by distraction.
