What is believable? And what is unbelievable?
Those who don't believe in UFOs - ie. of the few genuine cases
which pass the initial : it's not a known aircraft, etc type, it's not
a misunidentified (not a weather pattern or astronomical object etc),
there is attached to it --- who covers up or maintains the status quo
over the acknowledgement of these sightings -
ie. the conspiracy comes into view (whether it be innocent and
uncoordinated) or purposeful.
And so anyone who seriously believes in the existence of genuine
UFOs (unidentified, etc are eliminated) ends up putting their
reputation on the line [as much as those who re****t the original
sighting, and those who cover, pass on this info].
How long has our civilisation been in existence? Continually?
If you have an alien (ET) civilisation that has a continual history
of tens of thousands of years, or maybe even a million?
What breakthroughs in technology have they gained? That we can only
dream of?
They are not perfect beings - and so crashes will still be possible,
given they are so far away from their home, and help.
