Astrology, Psychology and Identity

by "Edmond Wollmann" <alchameth2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 14, 2006 at 03:50 PM

Every natal horoscope becomes active through the triggering of the
early environment. The unconscious is not an empty "blank slate."
Momentum of belief is carried into the birth chart. The horoscope
becomes active at birth. The horoscope exists before the early
environment. The parental structure is chosen by the oversoul previous
to incarnation, as the "hallway of experience" containing the most
compatible momentum necessary to trigger beliefs and concepts that will

best serve in accelerating the awareness of the identity involved. The
horoscope reflects the themes that will best accomplish agreements made

prior to the physical life.
The early environment does not pattern a "blank slate" unconscious,
but acts as a catalyst to assist in the acceleration of unconscious
identity definition already primed with belief. Recognition of this
premise alleviates the dis-empowering perspective of parental "blame."
How willing any person is to know themselves utterly determines the
effects of the life thereafter. Self knowledge is the key to proactive
as opposed to reactive behavior.

=EF=83=98 "...memory does not so much PRODUCE as DISCOVER personal
identity,
by shewing us the relation of cause and effect among our different
perceptions." David Hume on personal identity. "The
demand that he should see only objectively is quite out of the
question, for it is impossible. We must be satisfied if he does not see

too subjectively. That the subjective observation and interpretation
accord with the objective facts proves the truth of the interpretation
only in so far as the latter makes no pretense to be generally valid,
but valid only for that area of the object which is being considered.
To this extent it is just the beam in one's own eye that enables one to

detect the mote in one's brother's eye. The beam in one's own eye, as
we have said, does not prove that one's brother has no mote in his. But

the impairment of one's own vision might easily give rise to the
general theory that all motes are beams. Carl Gustave Jung Collected
Works Vol 6.
The identity is established in the earliest environment when
perceived patterns of "the way life is" are encoded as a schema then
reflected in the chart. Understanding this schema is the most valuable
offering I believe astrology to supply. Because if we can own this
schema and definition as the product of choice-it is far easier to
change.
=EF=83=98 Research on what leads to variations in patterns of
attachment
has
focused on several likely factors: The behavior of the mother toward
the child, the capacities and temperamental disposition of the child,
and the child-rearing patterns of the cultural group to which the
mother and child belong. The Development of Children, Chapter 6 The End

of Infancy "The Causes of Various Patterns of Attachment", Michael Cole

& Sheila R. Cole, 1993, page 232.
The analysis of the early environment is as much a benefit to the
analyst, as to the analyzed, for it allows us an empathic understanding

of the whys and wherefore's of the encoded schemas reflected in these
patterns. And because of this, its possible to understand the most
likely events to be created and experienced in later life when these
patterns are triggered by future planetary configurations.
The Universe does not contain built in meaning. The purpose of
astrological analysis is the discernment of the meanings given it by
the owner of the chart. The counselor brings their own sensibilities
acquired through self understanding, and introspective awareness into
the analysis. The meanings given to reality are established in the
early environment as a template of foundational perspective that the
person then extracts experience from as their life evolves.
We are taught that physical reality and experience exists
separate from us. Is it any wonder that physical appearance is so
im****tant in most societies? Nor is it any revelation that reasons for
limitation or difficulty are rarely seen as the total effect of
perspective. Science reinforces this, assigning "cause" to genetics
that removes personal connection and responsibility-the ability to
respond. If we get Cancer, it must be in some dietary pattern of
intake, or ecological substance. Attitude, it is believed, has very
little to do with it. Attitude has everything do with it.
Therefore in line with my previous assertions, the following life
paths are not the effect of astrological "influences." Nor are they the

effect of parental influences. The horoscope is the hallway of choice.
Therefore, these charts are reflective of certain "hallways" of
experience chosen by spirit. This hallway of choice is then acted upon
by the free will of the physical self. So any way we spin it, it
remains free will. It is the conscious commandment or awareness of the
physical self that utterly determines the quality of the trip down that

hall.
There is no one way to go down a "hallway." It can be an exceedingly
horrid experience, or it can be the most ecstatic experience ever. But
we willed ourselves down that hallway.
As discussed in previous chapters, it is conscious mind value
judgements that determine this. However, to introduce astrological
procedure is the main goal at this point. To lead towards an
understanding of the significance of precisely how we create our
reality, and how astrology allows us to understand our specific
journey. Astrology is the most powerful tool in the expansion of this
recognition.
Identity is viewed through the condition and placement of the 1st
and 7th axis. This axis reflects what sort of polarity from the
experiential template the person deems most reflective of their
specific self definition.

The 4th and 10th houses reflect aspects of identity's beliefs about
status and the internalized parental schema the person creates.
Identity and status are co-created and formed together. Self definition

allows status considerations to be derived from these definitions. The
parental structure acts as a catalyst (being a part of identity/status
quadruplicity) in the formation of belief patterning through the
aspects etc.. These aspects then act as a base or springboard for
personal unconscious "hallway" creation.

"Now, recognize that the personality is not who nor what you are.
Personality is, we shall say, an artificial construct, a facade (not in

a negative term, but a mask) created so that you can have and express,
in your physical reality, the idea that you call mentality: thought,
analysis, rationalization, reason. With this tool of personality, you
can, then, know that you have created a specific mechanism or channel
for the consciousness' point of view or philosophy and, therefore, that

philosophy will be expressed in your own unique way, colored, if you
will, by the unique personality or mentality that has been created to
express it." Bashar and the New Metaphysics.
