(lol) to be fair Tom, the post was as much directed at Apotheosis than
yourself;
"You aren't familiar with the Qabalistic concept that everyone has a
part of
God within then Tom?
Odd since you claim to have studied the Qabalah 'for many years', and
even
more odd since you claim to know so much about the Hermetic Axiom (even
if
you do think that the Royal Society of Medicine have secret Masters in
Hermeticism and write learned treatises on the Emerald Table). "
That kind of nonsense really makes me cringe, I used to participate
much more in this group but to be honest I find this kind of pettiness
off putting.
Likewise, I don't understand why anybody else would feel the need to
reply to somebody who would take such a snotty tone with them.
If I am wrong I apologise.
I'm also in a few UK groups (I'm British). In these groups people are
able to discuss things in a much less combative way. The point of the
groups being to exchange ideas rather than acting as an arena in which
to show off .
Seems to me that much of the 'discussion' is just like playground point
scoring.
"> I dont believe any of you are really interested in anybody else's
> opinions.
That's an interesting opinion. How did you derive it? "
Clever quip, point to you.
Or if your razor sharp wit fails. Try good old fa****oned sarcasm (I
did).
"> I know you idolise me now but you mustnt get carried away on a
little wave
> of enthusiasm. Your doctors have told you this as well no?
Nobody but you, ipsissimus."
Hmm petty point scoring? showing off to the kids in the play ground?
Sound socratic debate? Or just flirting? I really dont know.
I check this group very rarely, when I do I find an interesting topic,
(usually starts off well enough), then I read down the thread and it
just gets daft.
I dont mean to be specificaly rude to you Tom.
I just find this group to be a bit crass.
If want to reply to me you will have to email me, as I dont bother with
this group much and am on holiday in India so not always near a PC
