Against The Day: Thomas Pynchon Alternate Reality

The book opens with the Chums of Chance, a quarrelsome brotherhood of
operatives that pops up throughout the novel, circumnavigating the
globe in a giant dirigible, on missions ordered by mysterious higher
authorities.
the theoretical wars between vector analysts and the champions of
Quaternions, each with their visions of which was more real--time or
space. This last controversy is somehow central to Pynchon's
preoccupations with time travel, alternate realities and a whole
spectrum of options for escaping a world headed into the calamities of
World War I and beyond.

We have been conducting an experiment in Hyper Sigil with the intent to
"remote view" the insides of the novel before it is released. In some
odd Alternate Realty we are striving "Against The Day" of release on
Nov.21st to get inside the Novel. Once the novel is released it will be
too late to get inside the novel and make observations. It will then be
time to see if the associations made in this time prior to the release
were helpful to get a deeper immersion into the reading experience.

The technique we are using is very new. Grant Morrison, author of The
Invisibles, coined the phrase to describe his graphic novel that seemed
to alter reality with intent. Sometimes the intenstions were
unconscious and the results were a suprise to the author.
We are compiling associations and doing "energized research". Energized
Research is when you begin to follow a sucession of FNORDS, one trail
leading to another in a way that builds intensity of the material. The
facts are intensly meaningful when taken in context to the particular
association.
>From this material we will jump start a sort of OOBE/FNORD Narrative
that is based on direct gnostic experience of Against The Day...
Already with the clues given we have speculated that the Colorado
Anarchist plays the Guitar...and that this connects him to the Goucho
and to Punch, both Anarchists.

I think it is safe to say that Thomas Pynchon has opened up a gateway
into an alternate world that we can explore with esoteric techniques
such as OOBE, Hyper Sigil, Master Minding, and a number of Secular
Magick techniques developed by the marketing geniuses of The Magickians
of Simpleology.
