There are those who say that the next Dalai Lama will be Tibetan, that
they
would never choose a Dalai Lama that wasn't of Tibetan origin.
What they failed to realize in their vanity, however, is that they never
chose
the Dalai Lama to begin with. Not really. The Dalai Lama chose them.
Because of their stubborn pride, the Dalai Lama may end up forsaking them,
perhaps for a time or perhaps for eternity. You do not tell the forces of
nature what to do, you just join them in the doing.
