She may be drying up for now, but she isn't going to stay dry very
long.
New Orleans is about to die. It likely will start this year, maybe
even finish by the end of this year, but it's going to happen and
there's nothing that can be done to stop it.
It's but one of many, of course, but it's going to start ending a
little sooner than most. It already has in a way, but people are
still trying to rebuild it. They will make some progress, and then it
will end.
There will be plenty of time to leave after the end begins, but most
folks won't leave when it's still easy to do so. They won't believe
it's happening. Much like the population of Pompeii was so much more
decimated by Vesuvius than it needed to be given as much warning as it
received. Folks always ignore the warning. They always have, and for
as long as they remain organic - at least _entirely_ organic - they
always will.
Africa will be the hardest hit by the devastation, but only after New
Orleans has already been mourned. And Africa won't receive nearly as
much relief.
To those who believe, heed the signs. Even if you only believe in
logic and empiricism - a perfectly understandable view - trust the
signs even they will give you. You don't need to be psychic to see it
coming, please don't ignore what your senses - even your 5 ordinary
senses - are telling you.
