there is an OLD story, that the UN said many years back that the
entire earths population needs reducing to about no more than 2
billion people in order for the planet to provide enough for everyone.

Currently in CA, 2 chains of stores are rationing flour and rice
sales, and nationwide Sams is limiting sales of rice.
world rice crops are very bad, and there are a lot of current and
future food riots starting around the world. Wheat here got down in
the US to a 6 or so week supply.
in my out in the boon docks area I priced a bag of bread flour the
other day and the store owner said he was out, and when it came in, it
was costing him a dollar a pound...$50 a bag..
Corn meal was already .95 a pound..
so, look for groceries to take a steep hit shortly on anything that
has grain.. including any meats you get.
