I beg to differ. Since we have no living Neanderthals there is no way
to prove your thesis. Since we have ONLY living human beings, and we
survived where the Neanderthals didn't we MUST have been fundamentally
different. Or just very, very lucky. I say we are fundamentally
different and that is why we survived and the Neanderthals are gone.

No. The initial organism we all developed from is one which itself has
evolved. Therefore it cannot exist in stasis. Try examining what I

You are speaking of human evolution. Those people 60,000 years ago
were OUR progenitors. But something came before them. Such as
Neanderthals, Homo Erectus, Homo Habilus, etc. etc. Finding their
genomes will be difficult because DNA does not last that long. But
fossil evidence shows for instance that "Lucy" and upright walking
primate kin of man, had feet and hips exactly like humans. Her tracks
were found. They resemble human foot prints. But her skull structure
is more ape-like. This means our feet and hips and ability to walk
upright developed before our intelligence and facial features.
Evolution occurs. 60,000 years is nothing in geological time. I am
speaking here of tha ORGANISM which bore all life on this planet
through evolving. Do you not get this? Your body is composed of
trillions of CELLS. Single cell organisms which work in tandem to
produce a more complicated life form.
Evolution exists. Anyone who does not believe it, is living in
ignorance on purpose. And I have little time for that sort of person.

understand conciousness in ways you have yet to even try to look at,

Excuse me? Are you not human? Did you not just say we were ALL related
