....you're charged with creating the universe. In order to create all
the joy in the universe, you'd have to also permit the creation of all
the suffering. Would you do it? Is the joy of those fortunate enough
to experience that emotion worth the suffering of those unfortunate
enough to never have glimpsed it? You had your finger on the "Create
Universe" button, and these thoughts were going through your mind.
Remember that by and large, our moments of joy are but brief
interludes upon the canvas of our lives, for we are painted of
monochrome colors, and little there is indeed which excites us from
the nothing.
Create the universe, be responsible for the emergence of all the joy
and all the suffering therein. Would you do it?
