In life, everyday, there are choices to be made. Among the most
fundamental choices humanity can make is deciding if the path we take
will lead us to more peace or more violence.
The desire for peace and the place that violence has played a role in
our survival have their roots buried deep in the bedrock of humanity.
The need for both has existed longer than all the world=92s religions
combined and has prevailed as governments around the world rose and
fell.
As humanity walks the unfolding path of our existence, the choices we
make today determine the path that we will walk tomorrow. We are not
pre-destined towards violence any more than we are pre-destined for
peace. We exist to survive. The choice is up to us, as individuals and
humanity as a whole, whether that path is going to be one of peace or
one that is marked by violence. Our decision determines where we place
our next footstep.
