Somehow, I doubt that you would perceive a five-week breakup as glacial
in the absence of comparison with a three-day breakup.  I freely admit
that a three-day breakup is worse, but five weeks is hardly so long a
time as to be considered glacial.

In addition, I should note that the actual breakup period was quite a bit
shorter than five weeks, which is precisely why Stef's response to the OP
was appropriate.
