04 May 2008 18:24:06 -0400 tikte dan wel citeerde Ann Burlingham:

>nothing much to it - we slept in, twice, as it were. gathered some
>sticks from the lawn and firewood from out back of the barn (the house
>is chilly), filled the birdfeeder, did not gather dandelions for
>wine-making, though they are in bloom and today, though windy and
>cold, was sunny, unlike yesterday, which was rainy. washed the
>bedsheets. played with stuffed animals. found the screwdriver, removed
>back of toy vehicle, need to go buy batteries. watched "toy
>story". let the cat out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in. spring stuff.

HMM and I slept in, while Kees went for a bike ride (his leg is
feeling 'different' this week and he uses less painkillers and he
tries to bike about an hour every day).

We had a comfy brunch with some sandwiches and then went to HMM's
brother who has a campingsite right at the sea in Ter Heijde. Their
mom stays their the whole summer as well, so we had tea at her
caravan. It was the second sunny day in spring here and 'summer' will
last at least another week. So the campsite is doing well and
everybody was happy.

Last night I listened to the radio from 6-10. It was memorial day and
there were a lot of Dutch songs about the war and freedom. Liesbeth
List did The Mauthausen cycle (she sings them in Dutch on special
request of Mikis Theodorakis as of 1968).

It's double. There are so many lovely songs about such a horrible
topic.
