HPUX Systems Administrator
LOCATION : Champaign, IL
POSITION TYPE: 1+ Year Contract
REQUIREMENT:
=84=AB The Unix System Administrator is required to have an extensive
knowledge on HPUX primarily.
=84=AB Foremost responsibility is to perform production upkeep and
monitoring, tuning of the systems and troubleshooting the issues.
=84=AB Candidate also expected to work proactively on the systems.
=84=AB Role also includes working on projects and helping different teams
in proposing and designing solutions for the upcoming projects.
=84=AB Candidate also required to be working on the internal ticketing
systems.)
=84=AB HPUX Systems Administration in High Availability environment
required.
=84=AB Production Support experience a definite plus.
=84=AB Previous experience with MCSG/VCS or other HA software is required.
=84=AB Ideal candidate is comfortable with most aspects of UNIX systems
administration; for example, understands the concepts and
configuration of clustering, mail systems, system installation and
configuration, printing systems, fundamentals of security, installing
third-party software's.
=84=AB Excellent troubleshooting skills are essential.
=84=AB Can configure NFS, ignite server for HP, strong skills in LVM,
VxFS/
VxVM/CVM/CFS.
=84=AB A solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system primarily
HPUX, but also Solaris, Linux and AIX; understands paging and
swapping, inter-process communication.
=84=AB Knowledge on fundamental of networking/distributed computing
environments.
=84=AB Experience on working with High End storages like HP XP and EMC DMX
frames.
=84=AB Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (ksh, Tk,
Perl, ).
