So, around 6:05 pm, during the 6 pm news, I hear the front desk page
a friend. He was busy working, so I called the front desk and told them
he
would be busy until 6:30pm
I told him that he MAY have a message at the receptionist desk after the
news is over.
So, no message was left, but when he goes out to the parking lot ,
there
are some cops waiting by his truck.
They ask him his name. They want to arrest him for
distributing drugs (crystal meth., etc) He says you guys have got the
wrong guy, my name is very common. Check on it.
A news anchor comes out the door, my friend yells to the anchor 'GO GET
A CAMERA' ,
The anchor ignores him gets in his car and leaves.
Meanwhile , my friend is still talking to the cops, when another worker
comes out
the door (who is the coolest person, he would be the boss) . My friend
yells at the boss , help go get
a cam. My friend is obviously concerned . The boss comes over and
asks whats
up? the cops tell him , it doesn't concern you please leave. Boss,
being
the great person that he is, takes a few steps away, BUT REMAINED THERE
,
until my friend convinced the cops that they had the wrong guy. After
the cops left, boss then left. That was so cool of him
Anyway, at 9 pm when my friend came into work to tell me and some
others about the mistaken id, he was still physically shaking.
Wow!
( I later found 3 people with his name in the phone book and countless
others with
the first initial listing.)
