In this case, I will use a broad brush, if it suits me to make people
think... 

I heard/joined in a discussion with a fundy baptist minister a few years
ago
talking... he didn't believe the unlevened bread meant for 'Chag
Ha-Matzot'
offering literally became the body of christ, but figuratively or
symbolistic of the body of christ. Of course you [the baptist minister
didn't] understand the roots of this ritual come from two different old
hebrew celebrations? Chag-Ha-Pesach, meaning the "Festival of the Pesach"
(festival of the lamb) in Hebrew, and the second festival was known as
Chag
Ha-Matzot (festival of the unlevened bread) both have their root in the
ancient city of Ar and trying to trace their root back farther seems to be
like sifting dust

Even in this, the mother church <which it isn't> seems to start talking
about the bible not really being the 'word' of god, and maybe they'll
decide
the pope isn't infallible... 

The old church is the foundation which all the fundies beliefs are built
upon. When the walls come tumbling down, so will they rhetoric the fundies
have espoused for years.

If there was/is no god, some people will still try to create him in their
image.
